Eos Modular Power Management System.
Technology : Innovation in practiceThe importance of clean power. We live in an extremely polluted environment in electrical terms. Mobile phones, computers, appliances and even our hifi/AV systems themselves all contribute to RFI (radio frequency interference) and EMI (electromagnetic interference). These all create ‘noise’ which adversely affects the performance of your equipment. Your equipment itself and your household wiring typically also add to the problem.

Ensuring a clean power supply is a fundamental step in removing noise and optimising performance, which is why we’ve created the Eos Modular Power Management System, comprising a mains block offering either unfiltered or a combination of filtered/unfiltered sockets (for different equipment types) and a series of power cables.
Eos is the foundation of our approach to power: complementary distribution blocks and mains cables, each designed to minimise the harmful ingress of extraneous noise into the audio chain. Eos Modular power blocks are the ideal complement to our Grun Coherent Ground System.

Grun connections can be made via an Eos Modular power block and/or our Grun mains power adapters.

Of course there are higher specification Atlas options available for use with more esoteric electronics, but the ones under the review deliver first rate performance at a price which makes them seem like a genuine audio bargain.
As I found with the interconnects and loudspeaker cables last year, these power cables and the mains block feel very well made and should provide years of trouble free service.
I think they offer outstanding value and they are very easy to recommend unreservedly.

Eos Modular 4.0 is now supplied with a 16A socket, compatible. Filtered/ unfiltered socket combinations are available in UK, Schuko & Nema versions.

My first test yielded the same uncanny feeling of complete silence, as if something in my system still needed to be switched on.
The genius of the Atlas Cables Grun Coherent Earthing System and the Mavros cables and the Eos is the integration of the system into both cables and a power strip/distribution block, items that are generally costly. The Grun system has an edge because it’s such a holistic approach, not to mention an economical one.
Separately, these products all work. Together they are formidable.

The Atlas Eos Modular 4.0em power distribution mains block provides unfiltered socketry for products with high dynamic current demands, e.g. large power amplifiers, while optional filtered sockets are optimised for source components, pre-amps and smaller/integrated amps. Standard configurations are 6 unfiltered sockets or 3 unfiltered/3 filtered. Different combinations of sockets can be configured to meet your system needs.
Input is via 16A socket, a power cable with a C19 IEC connector is required.
Atlas offers 1.5mm², 2mm² and 4mm² power cables, constructed using the same conductor type, dielectric and screening. Reflecting our preference for continuity, the Eos Modular 2.5em and 4.0em power blocks are wired internally with identical conductors to those in the cables.
Accordingly, We recommend that you use an Eos 4.0em cable from the wall socket to the IEC input of the Eos Modular 4.0em block unit, and similarly match the Eos 2.5em cables with the corresponding block.
Select individual power cables according to your system configuration; typically use the Eos 4.0em version for higher power devices and 1.5em or 2.5em for source components, pre-amps etc.
Please see our Eos’ page for more information on Eos and Grun products.

Your local Atlas dealer/distributor will normally supply Eos products with the appropriate plugs for your country. Eos power cables and Eos Modular distribution blocks are available in UK 13A, Schuko & Nema variants. Some Eos products also offer the option of Australian/New Zealand types.
Please specify which type of IEC connector is required when you order/purchase.
