Digital theory suggests that data is nothing more than a sequence of ‘ones & zeros,’ with all that’s required of a cable being to transfer data around the network. While that’s true up to a point, it emerges as an overly simplistic perspective when considering high-resolution signals via streaming protocols.

In practice, the ‘Essential Elements’ — conductor, dielectric, connector, screening and manufacturing quality — which we prioritise in analogue audio cables prove equally vital for digital audio.

Accordingly, Mavros Streaming Grun features precisely-tailored twin solid core OFC copper conductors, carefully matched low-loss PEF dielectric, and our advanced foil screening combine to produce a continuous high-integrity fully-shielded signal path, avoiding the breaks in material continuity which degrade ultimate fidelity.

Meticulous assembly uses high-quality zinc die-cast RJ45 connectors in a precision-calibrated production process, which focuses on maintaining the balance between tight-twist ratios and symmetrical twist patterns, minimising signal errors. Fewer errors mean the correction circuitry in the receiving device has less work to do - a high level of error correction activity while extracting and processing the data can itself introduce more noise.

All of which means Mavros achieves very high levels of consistency even when used over longer lengths and when matching with a range of components. Ultimately, the result is a clean high-resolution audio signal with a wider dynamic range and less of the ‘glare’ which typically results from high levels of unwanted ‘noise’ in the replay chain.
