Equator Achromatic Speaker Z/S 3.5
OFC speaker cable.

Equator Achromatic is a sophisticated OFC speaker cable offering discerning audiophiles a true taste of ‘high-end’ performance. Available terminated in Z (Z-plug) or S (spade) versions.
We’re regularly asked by users of ‘single-brand’ systems from companies such as Naim and Linn if our cables could improve their system without sacrificing its essential character. It’s relatively easy to deliver an improvement in a specific area, but more difficult to create a cable that improves on overall detail, accuracy and open-ness without losing the signature speed and character of these systems.
All Atlas cables are designed to impose as little of any inherent character as possible, achieved through careful selection of materials and construction methods, but we feel this latest generation Equator cable is exceptionally transparent, allowing the equipment characteristics to be conveyed intact.
Equator uses twin high-purity OFC copper conductors. The generous 3.5mm² conductor cross-section gives superior low-frequency performance, while carefully optimised choice of materials and construction ensures Equator is exceptionally transparent to the signal for a cable of this class.
Our acclaimed low-mass non-conductive Achromatic Z connectors eliminate any possible detrimental effects of magnetic eddy currents, and precision-calibrated cold-weld termination gives a superior connection to conventional solder fixing, with increased signal continuity because of fewer ‘barriers’ created by different materials.

Reviews. What the specialist media say…

That sense of space and air formed the basis of everything that was good about these cables. The low noise performance allowed heaps of detail to spring forth and the sense of clarity that emerged as a result was a delight. So yes, then. I like them. A lot.
