Our original design brief for the Element Achromatic X RCA was to create an ultra-competitive high-quality, entry-level interconnect. It seems we succeeded, winning both acclaim and numerous awards and proving to be one of our most successful products.
This latest generation Element cable benefits from our policy of continuous improvement, fine-tuning both the physical and electrical properties to achieve a higher specification and superior quality of construction.
The signal conductor is a high-quality OCC copper, fully-shielded to ensure resistance to the RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) which can raise noise levels in a poorly-shielded cable.
The Element is fitted with the newest version of the Achromatic non-magnetic RCA plug. This low-mass Achromatic connector features a precise solder-free, cold-weld connection, creating a coherent, continuous signal path with no degrading ‘barriers’ between different materials.
The result is a cable which creates a large three-dimensional soundstage and significant levels of fine detail without the artificial ‘brightness’ which affects many budget cables. The Element Achromatic X RCA offers a neutral, relaxing sound and has proven to be an excellent foundation for further system improvements.

…which again demonstrates just how significantly cables can affect the quality of the soundstage. The Element Achromatic X RCA is superb value for money and is very much to be recommended.
The Elements replaced some far more expensive cables from another well-respected British manufacturer and to be honest, I could detect no loss of sound quality or musicality in the performance. That such a relatively inexpensive cable can perform so well served to make me think again about price/performance and the law of diminishing returns.
Still, the bass information has great positivity where the attack and decay of individual hits or notes are concerned. And, again, there’s sufficient detail – of texture and timbre, as well as of depth and intensity – to make the Atlas a completely convincing listen.
A fantastic showing for its asking price, the Atlas Element Achromatic does not disgrace itself – even when partnered with some exotic equipment. It’s refreshing to note that Atlas even lists the measured technical parameters of this interconnect on its website.
All in all, the Element Achromatic X RCA interconnect represents excellent value for money and sounds really good across a wide range of different musical genres.
